ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਆਰੋਹਣ (ਮਹਾ ਈਦ)
ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪਾਠ
ਕਰਤੱਵ 1:1-11
1 ਐ ਥਿਓਫਿਲਸ, ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ
ਕੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ,
2 ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤਕ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੂਹਪਾਕ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਿਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ
ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
3 ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁੱਖ-ਭੋਗ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਚਾਲ਼ੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ–ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦੀ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ
ਬਾਰੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਬੂਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ
ਜਾਗਦਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
4 ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਤਾਕੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯੇਰੂਸ਼ਲੇਮ
ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ, ਸਗੋਂ ਬਾਪ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਵਾਇਦੇ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ,
ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ”
5 ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੂਹੰਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ
ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰੂਹਪਾਕ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਪਾਵੋਗੇ।”
6 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਬਹਾਲ਼ ਕਰੋਗੇ?”
7 ਉਸਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਬਾਪ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਥ ਰੱਖੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਨਾ
ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
8 ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਰੂਹਪਾਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਆਵੇਗਾ,
ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਪਾਵੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯੇਰੂਸ਼ਲੇਮ, ਸਾਰੀ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ, ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ
ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਤੀਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਬਣੋਗੇ।”
9 ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਲਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ, ਉਹ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਦਲ਼ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਓਹਲੇ
ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
10 ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਸਵਰਗਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਵੇਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ
ਅਚਾਨਕ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾਈ, ਦੋ ਆਦਮੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਖਲੋਤੇ।
11 ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਐ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਆਦਮੀਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਵਰਗਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਵੇਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ? ਇਹੋ ਯਿਸੂ, ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸਵਰਗਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਆਵੇਗਾ,
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਵਰਗਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।”
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 47:2-3, 6-7, 8-9 (6) (A-125)
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਤਿ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਅੰਕਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਬਰਾਨੀਆਂ 9:24-28;10:19-23
24 ਮਸੀਹ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਘੇਰੀ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਸਲ ਦੀ ਨਿਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਸਵਰਗ
ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਡੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ;

ਇਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮਹਾ-ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ
ਸਾਲ ਲਹੂ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਜੋ ਉਸਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਪਾਵਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
26 ਕਿਉਂਜੋ ਫਿਰ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਰੰਭ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਪਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਹ ਯੁਗ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ
ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਵਾਰ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ
ਦੇਵੇ
27 ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਰਨਹਾਰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਮਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਨਿਆਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ
ਹੈ,

ਠੀਕ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਹ ਦੂਜੀ
ਵਾਰ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਪਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਬੜੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
19 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਭਰਾਓ, ‘ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਰਾਹੀਂ’ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਘੇਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ,

ਇੱਕ ਨਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀ (ਯਾਨੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀ) ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ
21 ਅਤੇ ਕਿਉਂਜੋ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਾਡਾ ਹੈ।
22 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਲੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਛੜਕਾਓ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ
ਧੋਤੇ ਗਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ
ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਈਏ।
23 ਆਓ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਡੋਲੇ, ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹੀਏ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿੱਗਿਆ
ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵਚਨ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੱਲੇਲੂਯਾਹ, ਹੱਲੇਲੂਯਾਹ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਬਣਾਓ, ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਂ, ਯੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਤੱਕ। ਹੱਲੇਲੂਯਾਹ!

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ
ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੀਉੱਠਣਾ ਹੈ

ਅਤੇ ਯੇਰੂਸ਼ਲੇਮ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ,
ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਛਤਾਵੇ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ
ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ।

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੋ।

ਵੇਖੋ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਪ ਦਾ ਵਾਇਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਘੱਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਪਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦੇ, ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ।’

ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਤਨੀਯਾ ਤੱਕ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ
ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਵਰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਠਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
52 ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਜਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਯੇਰੂਸ਼ਲੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਗਏ
53 ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਆਮੀਨ।

In the first book, O
The-ophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach,
2
until the day when he was
taken up, after he had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the
apostles whom he had chosen.
3
To them he presented himself
alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days,
and speaking of the kingdom of God.
4
And while staying with them
he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of
the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me,
5
for John baptized with
water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
6
So when they had come
together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to
Israel?”
7
He said to them, “It is not
for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own
authority.
8
But you shall receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in
Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.”
9
And when he had said this,
as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their
sight.
10
And while they were gazing
into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes,
11
and said, “Men of Galilee,
why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you
into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

For the Lord, the Most High, is terrible, a great king over all the earth.

Heb
9:24-28; 10:19-23
24 Christ
has entered, not into a sanctuary made with hands, a copy of the true one, but
into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.
25 Nor
was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the Holy Place
yearly with blood not his own;
26 for
then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world.
But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the age to put away
sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And
just as it is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment,
28 so
Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second
time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
19 Therefore,
brethren, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of
Jesus,
20 by
the new and living way which he opened for us through the curtain, that is,
through his flesh,
21 and
since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22 let
us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts
sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let
us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised
is faithful.

Alleluia, alleluia! Jesus says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” Alleluia!

46 Jesus said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ
should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead,
47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be
preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
48 You are witnesses of these
things.
49 And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but
stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high.”
50 Then he led them out as far as
Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.
51 While he blessed them, he parted from them, and was
carried up into heaven.
52 And they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
53
and were continually in the
temple blessing God.
