“ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਕ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੂਤ ਘਲਾਂਗਾ। ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ
ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ
ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
21 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ
ਮੰਨਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਘਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕਿਸੇ
ਅਪਰਾਧ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
22 ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ
ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨੋਗੇ,
ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ
ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ।
23 ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਵਰਗ
ਦੂਤ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਮੋਰਿਆਂ, ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਫਰਿਜ਼ੀਆਂ, ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ, ਹਿੱਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਭ
ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।

ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਹੱਲੇਲੂਯਾਹ!
ਅੰਜੀਲ
ਮੱਤੀ 18:1-5, 10
1 ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਚੇਲੇ
ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ‘ਸਵਰਗ–ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?’
2 ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਚੇ
ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ
3 ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ
ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣੋਗੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਵਰਗ-ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੀ
ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ।
4 ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਮਰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਵਰਗ-ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ
ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ।
5 ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਅਜੋਕੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ
ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।”

‘ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਛੋਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਟਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਸਮਝੋ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਬਾਪ ਦੇ
ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

20 “Behold, I send an angel before you,
to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place which I have prepared.
21 Give heed to him and
hearken to his voice, do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your
transgression; for my name is in him.
22 “But if you hearken
attentively to his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your
enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
23 “When my angel goes
before you, and brings you in to the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the
Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, and I blot them
out.

1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the
greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them,
3 and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like
children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in
the kingdom of heaven.
5 “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me.
10 “See that you do not
despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in heaven their angels
always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.

1-2 ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਸੁਣ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਚਿਤ ਠਹਿਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
3 ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ
ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
4 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਵੱਡਾ ਬੁੱਧੀਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦਾ
ਟਾਕਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
5 ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਭੜਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ
ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
6 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ
ਕੰਬ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਹਨ।
7 ਉਹ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਨੋਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ
ਚਮਕ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
8 ਉਹ ਇਕੱਲਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਣਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਦੀਆਂ
ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਧਦਾ ਹੈ।
9 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ, ਸਮਤ੍ਰਿਖ ਖਿਤੀਆਂ
ਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਨਖੱਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
10 ਉਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਤੇ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਮਝਣਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ
ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੈ।
11 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਾਗੋ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ
ਦੇਖਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ;
ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ
ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ
ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।
12 ਉਹ ਜੋ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ
ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ?”
14 ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ?
15 ਬੇਸ਼ਕ ਮੈਂ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਵੀ ਹੋਵਾਂ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਵਰ
ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੀਖ ਹੀ ਮੰਗ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
16 ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਕਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਦੇਵੇ; ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ
ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 88:10bc-11, 12-13, 14-15 (A-237)
ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਮਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ
ਮੁਰਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ?

ਲੂਕਾ 9:57-62
57 ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ
ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ
ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ
ਚੱਲਾਂਗਾ।’
58 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਲੂੰਬੜੀਆਂ ਲਈ
ਘੁਰਨੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਲ੍ਹਣੇ, ਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ
ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।’
59 ਉਸਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚਲ!’ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਾ
ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਆਉਣ ਦਿਓ!’
60 ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਉਣ ਦਿਓ ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਜਾ
ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ।’
61 ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ
ਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਪਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ
ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਲੈ ਆਉਣ ਦਿਓ।’
62 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਹਲ਼ ’ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ
ਪਿੱਛੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਉਹ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ
ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।’

“Truly I know that it is so:
But how can a
man be just before God?

If one wished to contend with him,
one could not
answer him once in a thousand times.

He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength
—who has
hardened himself against him, and succeeded?—

he who removes mountains, and they know it not,
when he
overturns them in his anger;
6
who shakes the earth out of its place,
and its
pillars tremble;
7
who commands the sun, and it does not rise;
who seals up the
stars;
8
who alone stretched out the heavens,
and trampled
the waves of the sea;
9
who made the Bear and Orion,
the Pleiades
and the chambers of the south;
10 who does great things beyond understanding,
and marvelous
things without number.
11 Lo, he passes by me, and I see him not;
he moves on,
but I do not perceive him.
12 Behold, he snatches away; who can hinder him?
Who will say
to him, ‘What doest thou?’
14 How then can I answer him,
choosing my
words with him?
15 Though I am innocent, I cannot answer him;
I must appeal
for mercy to my accuser.
16 If I summoned him and he answered me,
I would not
believe that he was listening to my voice.

Lk 9:57-62
57 As they were going
along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”
58 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have
nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.”
59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and
bury my father.”
60 But he said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead; but as for
you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”
61 Another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to
those at my home.”
62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back
is fit for the kingdom of God.”
